In an effort to mitigate the negative economic impacts of COVID-19 on Tacoma's micro businesses, the City of Tacoma's Community and Economic Development Department has established a COVID-19 Revitalization Grant Program.

Grants to help offset the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic for $10,000 are for micro businesses - 5 or fewer employees, including the owner(s) - located within Tacoma city limits. Home-based businesses in lower economic opportunity areas may qualify. Businesses must be licensed and have been operating in Tacoma for at least a year as March 16, 2020, make no more than 80% of area median income (example: $48,450 for a one-person household) and be able demonstrate that they have experienced a loss of income due to COVID-19. There is no cost to submit an application.

The application period is October 9, 2020 to October 23, 2020 at 5:00pm. Fifty businesses will be selected, via lottery method, from all qualifying applications submitted by the deadline.
