Just received this from the organizers this morning.

If anyone is interested I'd suggest you contact the organizers and get signed up soon. Because it's free, I'd imagine it will fill up quickly.

See you there!

CRUISER’S RENDEZVOUS ANNOUNCED FOR HAMPTON,VIRGINA

The inaugural Hampton Snowbird Rendezvous (HSR) will be held this fall from 18-20 October. The city of Hampton, situated at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, is a natural stop for sailors headed to Florida, the Bahamas and points south. There is now more reason than ever for cruisers to plan a layover there! Based from the city’s downtown public marina, this event will be filled with cruising-related educational seminars, entertainment by local bands, tours of area attractions and great food provided by Hampton’s finest restaurants.  Discounted dockage will be provided by the Hampton City Marina and all HSR events are FREE to visiting cruisers!

“Like” us on Facebook at “Hampton Snowbird Rendezvous” for event updates.

Space for this event is very limited so sign up early via email at: HamptonRendezvous@gmail.com

FYI: Two "new" ICW southbound rendezvous' have just been announced:

The Hampton Snowbird Rendezvous will take place in Hampton, VA on October 18-20, 2013.

Charlene has set up a Facebook Page where more information will be available in the next few days.

Diana and I will be leaving the Bay late this season, after the shows, and will be stopping and leading a couple ICW seminars here ... and hopefully at the revived Southbound Cruisers' Rendezvous in New Bern at the end of that month. Halloween in New Bern. That should be a kick!

I'll post more on the New Bern event after I talk to Mike in the next day or two and find out more.

Hampton and New Bern would both be great places for folks who attended the Annapolis Shows, SSCA Annapolis Gam, MTOA Northern, or Krogen Rendezvous to rally as they migrate south.
