It’s quite chilly out there, but I had a good morning of birding around the boardwalk at Little Pond at White Memorial In Litchfield. I flushed a Wilson’s Snipe that then landed about 15 feet in front of me giving a good view of it before it scurried off into the thicket. On the pond were 5 American Coot, a Pied-billed Grebe, a Northern Shoveler, and Ring-billed Ducks. Among the many flocks of sparrows were 2 Lincoln’s Sparrows.
