Greetings Colleagues,
I hope you are doing well! I am excited to invite you to a 'Let's Talk' session introducing the Expanded Partnerships in Collection Sharing (EPICS) Pilot BLC Resource Sharing initiative, organized by the Boston Library Consortium (BLC).
The EPICS pilot program is designed to expand access to library resources for HBCU institutions by enabling free interlibrary lending from 32 BLC member libraries, without requiring reciprocity. This one-year pilot addresses recent challenges faced by HBCUs, including canceled grants and budget constraints, by reducing barriers to resource sharing and promoting collaboration across institutions. The session will cover the program objectives, participation process, logistics, and the growing role of e-book lending. Attendees will have opportunities to ask questions, engage with presenters, and learn how their institutions can benefit from and participate in the pilot.
