Our public works authority has apparently never obtained its own separate EIN. That's being required now to finalize a loan. I tried to apply online using the municipality's EIN as the sponsor but that won't go through. We tried filing by fax - no response. (It's been nearly 2 months.) Have called the numbers we can find on the IRS website but either no answer or a message that says no one is available due to COVID. Any other ideas? We are set to close on this loan in a couple of weeks so starting to worry. Thanks Kim Spady
