Visitors:
Thank you to Jane, Dave, Noel and Adam for visiting today!
Weather:
Today was chilly compared to yesterday's weather, but the wind stayed
south. There were a couple of rainy periods and wrapped up the day at 2.
Raptor Observations:
There are very few raptors to report today, only two! A sharp shinned hawk
and a merlin, both in the morning.
Non-raptor Observations:
There were a good number of birds out today despite the weather conditions.
Plenty of waterfowl again including hooded merganser on the marsh and four
common loons which passed on the lake side. Scaup are beginning to arrive
in numbers far out on the lake. A new species for the season was observed
today: common goldeneye!

Predictions:
Tomorrow will be much colder than the last few weeks. This may bring in new
species we haven't seen yet including rough-legged hawk. There is a
possibility of a northern component in the wind tomorrow which may bring
hawks which have been missing the last few days.
