I haven’t seen it posted here so I wanted to follow up and let CT Birders know that the LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE is still at Sandy Point in West Haven. The bird is mainly visiting the small shrubs and trees on the left side of the inside trail, accessible past the porta potty. It also perches on a stick in the marsh, directly across from the viewing platform and it is sometimes seen in the group of trees on the beach further southwest (to your right as seen from the viewing platform).
There are a number of birders enjoying it and it is definitely worth trying for it!
Please note: There is a parking fee of around five dollars per hour; you can pay with your phone… It is risky not to pay because if they record your plate and you have not paid the fine is ~$50.
