Not sure how much you'll see in Daytona and Miami, but if you're driving,
you could take in some of the sights between these two locations. If you
contact Dick Tuschick of Rhumb Line Yacht Sales
(dick@rhumblineyachtsales.com) in Stuart, FL (866-520-7597) I'm sure
he could get you on board a PDQ 34 - and very possibly the new 41
which is there at the moment.
Florida is also the home of Endeavour and Manta, both on the West
coast near Tampa. I suspect a drive over there would get you a factory
tour and boat inspection if you were interested.
Also, if you check broker listings, you may be able to find boats for sale
which you could inspect. One suggestion is "2-Hulls" in Ft Lauderdale
(www.2hulls.com). I see they've got a couple of Lagoon 43's at their docks.
To me, the availability of good cruising powercats in the 34-44' range is
still pretty limited. Besides PDQ, Endeavour and Manta, there are the
French Fountaine Pajot 35, 37 & 44 and Lagoon 43 & 44 models. And
there's the South African "Africat". I'm not sure what happened to the
Prowlers - I see they're listed as "Classic Cats" now.
I suspect we will soon be hearing more from "Down Under" as they were,
after all, the original pioneers in this field.

My wife and I will be visiting the Miami and Daytona Beach area from Dec
8th to the 22nd.
I would like to look at some power catamarans like the PDQ
series. We are not limited to the mfg or designer. In fact at this stage of
our planning, the more we see the better.
