Another 4-week session of free, weekly creative writing workshops will begin on April 17th (5:30-6:30PM) for military spouses, close friends and family members. Join us at Anthem coffee on Pacific Ave (they close at 6 but we have the okay to keep writing till 6:30) for creative prompts and discussions about writing and publishing.

As a military spouse, creative writing instructor at UW Tacoma, editor for Collateral and working poet and essayist, I'll be curating some powerful poetry and prose for us to read and discuss, as well as some prompts to work on (and to take home). These workshops are for those who are indirectly impacted by military service: children of vets or active duty soldiers, siblings, significant others, spouses, close friends-- anyone who has been connected to a servicemember and also writes. Writing is not solely focused on the military. They are free and open to the public as well as the UWT community. Workshops are not progessive; attend one, some or all. Come for the camaraderie, the coffee (or the beer or wine) and the creative outlet.

Hope to see you there!
