Hello subscribers, The new, custom built, Aero Cat Explorer 36 will debut at the Annapolis Power Boat Show in October. It addresses most of the issues in the current thread, including the availability of Yanmar diesel power. The Explorer hulls are available from 30-40 feet and 10-15 foot beam. Everything above deck is custom built to order. Construction is Divinycell, biaxial fiberglass and epoxy. The 36 weighs about 8000# and cruises at 22k with either 115 hp outboards or 4 cylinder diesels. Fuel mileage at cruise speed with outboards is 9.9 gph @ 22k. Cost, including generator, windless, reverse cycle and chart plotter is $275,000 w/(2)115 OBs and about $315,000 equipped with (2)Yanmar 4cyl. Ken Handman designer/builder Aero Cat Marine, LLC
