Dear David & Barbara, Your trip sounds adventuresome and loads of fun! I am wondering when you did the Loop in 2005 if you went down the Eastern shore of Lake Michigan to the rivers? If not and while you are here, I highly recommend seeing some of these areas which could include Sleeping Bear Dunes, Mackinac Island, Charlevoix the Beautiful, Leland & wine country, Hemingway's Petoskey with devine shopping, Bay Harbor or Harbor Springs. Most have excellently located & excellent municipal docks operated by the state parks system & reservations can be made online. Michigan is a hidden treasure just as the Trent-Severn Waterway.
