Group,

Has anyone ever heard of a county commissioners group forcing a town to have a new election without any legal filings whatsoever? In short, the county commissioners claim there were some irregularities in the last election over a year ago and now has stated that all new elections have to be done for all seats.

I have found several people who think towns are subordinate to counties; they are not. I know of no authority for counties to do what you suggest.

Would there also be a statute of limitations on this since the election in
question occurred more than a year ago?

Further, if the county election board conducted the election, the county
government has no authority.
