01/10/12 - Lebanon, Chicken Farm -- HARRIS'S SPARROW. First observed
by the Perko's.
Directions: off Norwich Avenue in Lebanon, CT.
Between Roger Foote Rd. and Geer Rd. on Right side of
road headed East from Colchester to Norwich. 5/10 of a mile
from Roger Foote. and 6/10th of a mile if taking Exit 22 off
Rt.2 from Geer Rd. heading West. There is a torn down cement
bldg. to left with chicken and cow manure inside. He was hanging
around on top of chicken manure and hedge row along row.

01/10/12 - Lebanon, Chicken Farm -- The Harris' Sparrow was in view at
the previously reported location at 1:50 PM.

01/10/12 - Lebanon, Chicken Farm -- as of 2:00pm, the Harris's Sparrow
continues to be seen.

01/10/12 - Lebanon, Chicken Farm -- 3:30pm; Harris' Sparrow, still
present at the previously described location - this time in the
hedgerow along the road just east of the cement building with manure
pile.

01/10/12 - Somers, Ninth District Road -- noon; PINK-FOOTED GOOSE.
Bird was feeding in pasture with 300+ Canada Geese between road and
small pond next to farmhouse and two red barns.  Near T-intersection
of Ninth District Road and a road (didn't note the name) that connects
to Pinney Road.

01/10/12 - Litchfield, N. Shore Rd. (Bantam Lake's Pt. Folly) --
3:35-4:50PM; The Lake was 50% iced-over.  8 Lesser Scaup.

01/10/12 - Litchfield, N. Shore Rd. (Bantam Lake's Pt. Folly) --
7:05-8:50AM; 9 Lesser Scaup.

01/10/12 - Windsor, Windsor landfill -- 3 Iceland Gulls, 2 Glaucous
Gulls and 1 Lesser Black Backed Gull. Birds were both first and second
cycle.

01/10/12 - Woodbury, Woodbury Transfer Station -- 4 Black Vultures at
3:50 pm.

01/10/12 - East Windsor, Broad Brook Pond -- 1 CACKLING GOOSE in
middle of pond among 1,000 plus Canadas. The time was 10:30-12:00
(noon). This had been one of the spots for Pink-Footed which was not
seen yesterday 1/9 and not today 1/10 up 'til noon. We did check
Somers local too.  Directs to Broad Brook - I-91 North Exit 44 - rite
on Route 5 (end of exit) @ 3 mi Route 191 turn left.  Follow windy
road through S signs. End at center of Town Broad Brook take left pond
is next right.
