Please post on Newflink

We are in the Anoka Halloween parade. Division 3 unit #28

I just got the information Friday. I will do a mailing but people won’t get it until mid week.

92nd Anoka Halloween Parade

Saturday October 26th 2013*

1:00 pm Sharp!

The Northstar Newfoundland Club was accepted to participate in the Anoka, MN (Halloween Capital of the World) this year. We are in Division 2 and are Unit #28 . Dogs can be in costume or not.

Staging time begins at 11:30 BUT the streets are blocked off starting at 11:45 and they are real sticklers about letting people through the road blocks. There will not be exceptions. The line up area is in Sorenson Park    (map attached).

They do not allow many vehicles in the park, it is basically only the ones in the parade. Parking is on the surrounding streets out of the line up area. You have to compete with spectators so an earlier arrival will mean less walking to the line up.

The Main Rules

  1. Do not throw candy or give aways. (By order of the police dept) It can be passed out at curb side

  2. Do not advertise or campaign

  3. All animal units Must Provide Prompt Clean up.

  4. To assure the parade runs on schedule. All units are to maintain forward movement at all times.
