Along these lines could someone comment on the rules regarding leaving a US boat in Canada for several months?
Thanks

Others have commented on this here and on the AGLCA pages. I seem to remember that there is a very expensive tax matter to be considered. The boat MAY be subject to Canadian AND Provincial taxes if stored past 90 days. I think over Winter storage was the specific matter being discussed. If you are an AGLCA member, I suggest you post your question there as well as on this list.

Looking forward to hearing the answers to this.  One idea I will put out
that I learned from a Dutch couple who wanted to leave their boat in BC for
a while:  It seems to be a different situation if you are with your boat
vs. if you leave the country (Canada) and leave your boat behind.
Different folks get worried in that case.

Looking forward to hearing some clarity on this overall topic.
