All hands,
I have been following up the gen set discussion with interest. One point
that occurs to me is that there is a lot of efficiency to gain in this area
inside a boat. Solar panels, wind turbines, and for taking advantage of the
engine heat one smart solution is a thermocouple like the ones supplied by
Hi-Z (no relation with me). This allows generating energy from engine heat,
in a big truck they have set up a 1kw system! Have a look at their site and
surely there are other manufacturers. The set up is rather simple.
Therefore, I believe that with some inventivity and information one can set
a small energy system adequate for a small boat without needing extensive
maintenance nor fuel.

Good day, Roger!
Do you have the website address for this type of system?
Thanks!
