It is expected to peak during a half-hour shortly after 5 a.m. EST Sunday

on

the East Coast, 2 a.m. PST on the West Coast.

The meteors will appear to radiate from east to west.

Here in Atlanta, Georgia with clear skies, there was a mediocre meteor
shower.  I estimate about one every 15 to 20 seconds.  It is awesome to see
even one...but this did not live up to the forecast expectations.
I observed at 0530 EST.

Here in Cape Cod, MA it was awesome!  We saw them about every 10 seconds and
many had long tails that lingered.

Hey All,
We rose this morning at 3:45 a.m. to watch the meteor shower and what a show
it was.  We done some counting and our average for meteors was approximately
5 to 6 hundred meteors per hour.  Some were spectacular and some were just
barely a zip.  They didnt come in from any particular direction.  They were
coming in from all directions and some even came straight in.  They would
show up as just a pin point of light which got brighter and then died off
slowly.  Extremely interesting morning.  Sat and watched until the sun rose.
Anyone who didnt watch missed a once in a lifetime show.
