The Important Bird Area at Cove Island Park will be featured on WNPR on Thursday's edition of BirdNote.  For further details please see:
http://www.cpbn.org/program/birdnote
or
http://www.birdnote.org/

The show will air at 5:48am and 8:58pm and will afterwards be available to hear on the WNPR website.

In other news, I had a bunch of PINE SISKINS fly over this morning at the Audubon Center at Bent of the River in Southbury.  I only heard them so I can't estimate #'s.  Donna Rose Smith had five in a tree near the barn just a little while ago.

On another subject, there is now a website, courtesy of Long Island Soundkeeper, dedicated to the effort to preserve Long Beach West in Stratford, which can be found here:
http://www.longbeachwest.com/

If you live in Stratford or have friends or family there, please make sure you/they know about Question 7 and check out the website for more details.

Thanks!

Patrick
