FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: April 30th, 2025
___________
The City of Auburn and the Auburn Arts Commission are pleased to present the work of Kameh Saman at the Cheryl Sallee Gallery, on view April 30th - July 9th, 2025.
Artwork Statement:
I was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1984, and earned my Master's degree from the University of Tehran before moving to the United States in 2012. I now live and work in Seattle, balancing my time between painting, teaching, raising my children, and staying connected to my community.
Painting, for me, is both a craft and a conversation-a way of exploring the stories that shape us and the quiet emotions that live beneath the surface. My work often reflects the tension between individuality and belonging, memory and change, seeking to capture the humanity we all share.
Each piece is part of a larger journey: a way of seeing, feeling, and connecting through the language of art.
