Artwork Statement: I was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1984, and earned my Master's degree from the University of Tehran before moving to the United States in 2012. I now live and work in Seattle, balancing my time between painting, teaching, raising my children, and staying connected to my community. Painting, for me, is both a craft and a conversation-a way of exploring the stories that shape us and the quiet emotions that live beneath the surface. My work often reflects the tension between individuality and belonging, memory and change, seeking to capture the humanity we all share.
