Media Handling

Is there a comprehensive list of file types that can be used by the Media Handling Procedure?  I know of the list below, based on the Wiki documentation, but are there any more?  Also does CollectionSpace have any limitations, either based on file type or overall restriction, on size of file that can be attached to Media Handling?  TIFFs have given us issue as they do not open up in the enlarged pop up window when you click on the snapshot view.  We'd have to use a secondary image viewing program to see the enlarged version, so I didn't know if that might prove problematic with other file types.

  • jpg

  • tiff

  • avi

  • mov

  • wav

  • mp3

  • doc

  • pdf

Much appreciated.

A complete list of the file types that CSpace can support can be found on the ImageMagick website:

http://www.imagemagick.org/script/formats.php

There's an open issues about viewing TIFFs that appears to be in progress, I've cc'd Aron here to see if it's something that he's still working on.

I'm no longer actively working on that issue.

P.S. Have been having challenges (possibly pilot error on my part?)
changing some - perhaps not-in-sprint? - issues to "Open" (i.e. no longer
"In Progress") status, after we switched to using JIRA's Agile workflow.

Richard and I have had a side discussion around this, and we may yet
continue that ...
