Randy, We did a similar trip the year before last.  This  was our itinerary
which you may want to consider.

From New York City up the Hudson, to Lake Champlain and  Montreal.  Then

Rideau Canal and Trent-Severn to Georgian Bay.  Stop  at Killarney for the
fish and chips.  Now for variety, return route via  Tobermory.  (You will love
Tobermory, allow one day for a trip to Flowerpot  Island).  Continue to
Detroit and Lake Erie to complete the loop.  Just a suggestion for a bit of a
change.

No, we  aren't Looping this year.  But after the heat of last summer, we
are  going to Canada. Since we are not ones to dawdle for days in one
location, we  are planning to paint the area with a broad brush. Our working plan is
to  spend June going from the Chesapeake to NY and up the Hudson to Oswego,
July  on the Trent-Severn to Georgian Bay and back, August on the Rideau to
Ottowa  and Montreal and Sept. returning to the Bay via Lake Champlain.
Is this doable?  Too aggressive?  Too much travel?
What say the group?
