Like many I envision acquiring a larger boat with
diesel engines. Enclosed are two links with a thorough
examination of the gas vs. diesel consideration. Both
articles are quite revealing:
Part one www.yachtsurvey.com/GasDiesel.htm
Part two http://www.yachtsurvey.com/GasNdiesel.htm
My information from fishing forums here in Southern
California is that the new lightweight diesels are
under suspicion due to relative light weight, aluminum
blocks, and very high compression. I suggest caution
until they are proven.
Sincerely,
Jim Garner
