FabLab Nonprofit is seeking submissions from local Artists of all ages for a Tacoma Initiatives Project called the Tacoma Neighborhood Postcard Project

This micro storytelling project originated in San Francisco and has been done in numerous cities across the US. The goal of the Tacoma project is to initiate conversation by having Downtown community members share with the larger populace what they believe makes their neighborhood a special place to live and work.  Four artworks depicting New Tacoma are to be designed by local residents and will be made into stamps so that 200 participants can create postcards with a personal message from Downtown Tacoma.  Cards will be collected, reviewed and mailed to other residents of Tacoma and Pierce county who reside outside of New Tacoma.
FabLab Nonprofit is seeking drawings representing Downtown Tacoma to be made into stamps for the Project. Artists will compensated $100 for use of their artwork for this project.  Four pieces in total will be selected. Deadline for submissions is June 28. Selected artists will be notified July 1st.
Please submit designs to: Anita@fablab.com

Any design style and vision is encouraged and you are only limited by the need to be able to me made into a vector. Tips to making a drawing that can be made into vector for laser include:
-Design in black and white if possible
-Gray tones will most likely disappear
-Work with thick lines when possible, too thin lines may disappear
-Minimize level of detail
Artwork for possible vector example:

Thank you all so much for supporting Tacoma!
