Bought myself an Ipod 3g for my B day, what a great tool for the boat.!! My Radar, $1.99 Instant radar for you gps location (gps built into the ipad) or the whole country Weather underground Free Weather channel Free e Sea Chart , navigation program, $3.99, gps , free charts, works great Marine Traffic $3.99 AIS driven shows you all the AIS traffic. Active Captains anchor drag alarm, Drag Queen, and it's totally free. So for under $10 in apps, I have thousands of dollars of Navigation equipment on my bridge. This is not to mention, the skype phone, car gps, google earth and all the other apps available. The Ipod cost me about $900, great investment. Did discover, with polorized sunglasses, the screen shows up lengthwise, but tall, not so well. Anyone who has any other recommended apps, please let me know. thanks See you in Paradise! Capt.
