[cid:image003.png@01D0D8E6.7D760A70] The City of Tacoma is hosting its 3rd annual open streets event Downtown to Defiance<http://www.metroparkstacoma.org/downtowntodefiance/#.VdIukPlVhBc> this September, and we need an awesome group of volunteers (that's you and your friends!) to make it happen. We are looking for volunteers to help out with a number of things along the waterfront route - which role would you like to fill?​ · Course Champion: monitor the route to keep event participants on course and cars out (great for families and friends!) · Park Boss: support our partners in the parks by helping with fun activities and programming · Registration Rock Star: act as points of contact in the parks, answering questions and registering participants · Waste Wizard: engage with participants at recycle & trash stations to make sure we dispose of our waste properly · Anything All-Stars: be on hand to provide general event support as needed You can do multiple shifts and still have time to participate in the event yourself!
