Hi everyone,

Thought you might be interested in a story I wrote for the October issue of
Scientific American on competitive birding, featuring Connecticut's own
Raven Lunatics (Frank Gallo, Dave Tripp, Nick Bonomo, Fran Zygmont, Patrick
Dugan and Dave Provencher) and their bid to set a new Big Day record in the
state:

Thanks to the team for letting me tag along and patiently answering my
many, many questions!

Also, just want to say that as a new birder, I really appreciate
Connecticut's birding community. I look forward to reading about everyone's
sightings here and have enjoyed getting to meet some of you while out
birding. Hope to get to know more of you in the future.

Happy Fall Migration,

What an incredible article. It really speaks to the dedication and tenacity of those involved while exhibiting that birding sometimes is no easy feat! What a wild ride!!
