I used to go out of my way to make sure my buyers were paying the actual shipping costs, but after all ebay's changes, it's easier to estimate worse case shipping coast to coast, or do free shipping with plenty of shipping built into the fixed price.

Ebay fees don't reflect shipping cost, so the seller makes more money by
inflating the shipping price, even if it reduces the final sales price.
