Ring messenger keep a lot of patches for pjsip: https://github.com/savoirfairelinux/ring-daemon/tree/master/contrib/src/pjproject This makes it very difficult to build ring, because it requires to rebuild pjsip with custom patches which isn't easy to do on ex.
