Avoiding Jelly Fish in the Chesapeake

We are considering cruising the Chesapeake this summer.  We spent two summers there before and had a lot of trouble with jelly fish plugging water intakes. We have heard that the further north one goes the less the problem is. How far north would we have to go? Is Rock Hall north enough? I know we will have to deal with the jelly fish issue as we cruise the bay but I would like to be far enough north to have minimum trouble on a daily basis at our home slip. We would appreciate any advice. Joe

The general rule is stay north of the bay bridge.  Just how far is dependent on climate conditions.  Sassafrass is usually a safe bet.
