Vuecrest Annual Meeting
Due to a scheduling conflict, the Vuecrest Community Association annual meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m., in Pearson Hall at Grace Lutheran Church, on the other side of NE 8th St, opposite Vuecrest.  We will present a review of this year, vote on the proposed budget for next year, as well hold as elections for two of the Director positions.

Anyone who is interested in serving as a Director, please contact any of the current Directors at directors@vuecrest.net mailto:directors@vuecrest.net .

Summer Picnic Recap
The Annual Summer Picnic was another big success, with perfect weather greeting the approximately 200 residents who gathered.  Highlights included BBQ sandwiches from Maximus/Minimus, ice cream from Half Pint, bouncy houses for the kids, Deano the Clown, and of course getting a chance to meet new neighbors.  Thanks to Melissa Hambleton for organizing this event, the Kadavy family for letting us use their lawn, and to the many who helped with setup and stayed to clean up.

If you have any feedback or suggestions for next year, please email social@vuecrest.net mailto:social@vuecrest.net .

Hedges and Trees
Now is a great time to trim your hedges and trees. This past summer has brought exceptional growth to our neighborhood, often two or three feet. Our neighborhood covenants limit hedges to four feet in the front of the home and six feet elsewhere. In addition, trees need to be maintained so that they don’t block views of neighbors. Keeping them to your roofline or below is a good reference point.

Please be a good neighbor and ensure that your landscaping stays under control and within the limits. If you have questions, feel free to contact landscaping@vuecrest.net mailto:landscaping@vuecrest.net .

Dog Issues (again)

Although this has declined somewhat over the past month, the Vuecrest Board continues to receive reports of dogs running loose and pet waste being left in yards. Please continue to work with your neighbors and the City of Bellevue to help reduce this problem.

King County code requires leashes in our area, and considers animals running freely to be a nuisance. Bellevue will issue a fine of $50 for off-leash pets or for animal waste left behind. Bellevue is also stepping up enforcement of pet licensing, which is required for all dogs and cats over eight weeks of age.

Please be considerate of your neighbors and the safety of pets by ensuring that they stay on your property or on leash at all times.

Vuecrest Monthly Board Meeting

Please join us at the next Board Meeting on Thursday, October 2nd [7:00 – 9:00 p.m.] at the home of Thomas and Annalee Luhman, 9604 Hilltop Road. Note that this is a change from the originally-announced location.
