Rena Priest is a Lummi Tribal Member and author of Sublime Subliminal and Patriarchy Blues, which won a 2018 American Book Award. She's taught Comparative Cultural Studies, Native American Studies, and Special Topics in the Humanities at Western Washington University and Fairhaven College.
Carla Sameth is a 2019 Pride Poet for West Hollywood and author of the recently released memoir, One Day on the Gold Line. She teaches creative writing for the Los Angeles Writing Project (LAWP) at California State University Los Angeles. She was the co-founder of the Pasadena Writing Project and has taught creative writing to incarcerated youth through WriteGirl.
