Halloween “Trick or Treat” Report
Vuecrest has always been a favorite “trick or treater’s” neighborhood, but this year we seem to have surpassed all records. Our expectations used to be approximately two hundred and fifty children. This year one household reported 466 trick-or-treaters! Unfortunately, with these increasing numbers we’ve witnessed increased traffic and uncomfortable vehicle speeds mixed with too much foot traffic. So, we wanted you to know that your Directors have already been discussing some additional safety measures that may be necessary to protect the children and our properties. As always, we are open to your good and helpful suggestions. Please attend a monthly meeting to contribute to the discussion or send your comments to directors@vuecrest.net mailto:directors@vuecrest.net.

CALENDAR ITEMS:
Vuecrest Book Club (Meeting IN PERSON)
Vuecrest has its own Book Club and all residents are welcome to attend. We meet once a month at 7PM, usually on the first Monday, at various members’ homes. The VC Book Club has an “open-read” format, that is, there is no “chosen” book. We all gather to discuss what we had read since our last meeting. And for those too busy to read, feel free to come and enjoy the friendship and share a little wine and conversation with your neighbors. And you just might hear about a book you’d like to read in the future! Email Mara Pitkethly dtpit@uw.edu mailto:dtpit@uw.edu for details.
