The Puyallup River Watershed Council (PRWC) will hold its monthly Forum
on Wednesday May 27th from 5-7pm at the Sumner City Hall Council
Chambers.

This Forum will focus on a public survey conducted by Teresa Lewis,
Pierce County Public Works and Utilities, Surface Water Management
titled 'STORMWATER RUNOFF: PIERCE COUNTY PUBLIC ATTITUDES, AWARENESS AND
BEHAVIOR'. More than 1000 surveys were returned. You will be surprised
at the level of public knowledge that exists concerning water quality.

Come and learn what will be done with this information and how it can
help County government move forward with pressing water quality
concerns.  There will be a discussion on how human behavior can be
changed to lessen the impacts of pollution to our waters.

A second presentation will focus on a new and applied science that
places monetary value on the natural resources of any given region.
Representatives of Earth Economics will inform us about the work they
have completed for the Nisqually Watershed and what it will take to have
a study done for the Puyallup Watershed.

There will be many opportunities for public input and everyone is
welcome.
