Note: It has been suggested that the people who have been so nice to
let us bird at Quassy amusement park might not be the actual owners or
operators of the facility. As such, we have been asked to refrain
from sending thank you notes to the facility in the hope that we do
not get anyone in trouble.

11/21/09 - Killingly, Pond Rd, Middle Reservoir -- 8:30-9:00 AM, 2
Tundra Swans. The birds flew in from the east and settled in at the
far NW corner of the reservoir.

11/21/09 - Middlebury, Lake Quassapaug -- Spent about an hour (12:00-
1:00pm) watching the Pacific Loon. Birders from PA and NY were there.

amusment park beach between 1:30 and 3:00.

11/21/09 - Windsor, Northwest Park -- 9-10am, a juvenile RED-HEADED
WOODPECKER, seen where you walk up the main trail and veer right at
the old barn. There is a pile of woodchips on the right of the path
from where I viewed the bird in the wooded area.

East Beach parking lot.
