John:

I took the 140 HP Suzuki's off my 25' Sea Cat and replaced these  inline four
bangers with the 150 HP V-6 Suzuki's.  The 140s always seemed  to have
problems.

The 150s (BTW, the same engine is sold at 200 and 225 HP and just  turn
faster to get more HP) were bullet proof until I sold the boat three years  later
with 400 hours on each.  I do believe they were giving upwards of 180  HP as
the boat topped out at over 50 MPH.  Not much over, but over.

Best.

Phil.
