...excerpt...I have been shocked by the Lagoon 43 'sneezing' problems--I
expected that a company with so much experience would never let such a design
problem happen (I read that they are modifying the windshield to deflect the
spray, but why the spray in the first place!).

Brian responded:

I've questioned this in the past myself, and on this forum.

I recently picked up the May/June 06 issue of "PassageMaker" magazine as it
had a 14 page article on the Lagoon PowerCat. There are some very nice
pictures, but for the most part the article lacks in-depth critique. Of
course
it was written by the editor of the publication, who I am sure is looking
down
the road at advertising monies from Lagoon.

One passage caught my attention, "Conditions were calm as we ran across the
Gulf Stream in the early morning dawn. But I did notice that spray from the
windward bow would hit me (in the face) as I manned the helm on the
flybridge.
(Nick later explained they are working on a solution to this issue of spray
coming off the windward bow)."

This wasn't even mild conditions, but sounds as though it was flat calm. It's
a shame that this problem exist, as I think it is one of the best looking
powercats on the market

Jo and I
took a look around a lagoon at the Annapolis show last Oct with
relatively high hopes.
Within 5 mins we were brought down to earth by the fit and finish of
the carpentry.
The lagoon was quickly discounted and our search was narrowed
immediately.

regards Jonah.
