Tacoma Community College NEW for FALL 2008! SUSTAINABLE BUILDING ADVISOR PROGRAM! Tacoma Community College and local green building professionals are bringing the Sustainable building Advisor Class to Tacoma, beginning this Fall 2008! Our first class starts September 19-20, 2008 at Tacoma Community College's main campus. A total of nine classes will be offered; one weekend a month. The course is designed for working adults who want to gain a more thorough understanding of the principles of green building. Classes will be held one Friday and Saturday per month, starting September 19 & 20, 2008. Enrollment is limited to 30 students to allow plenty of interaction time with the instructors and small group work. Seattle has offered this class for many years and is now offered by over 15 community colleges across the country. As you know, green building methods and materials are the coming trend in residential construction and have already become the norm in commercial construction. Attached are the topics covered in the class as well as registration information for those employees who could best utilize the information.
