I boated since I was 10 years old mostly in the Great Lakes. Lived
aboard in Toronto harbour back in 1969 before it became fashionable. I
Worked at JJ Taylor shipyard as a marine electrician. Had a succession
of power and sailing boats.
I have been impressed with multi hulls ever since I got to crew on a 30'
Cat from the  Toronto Multi Hull club in 1987. We were racing one
evening and several Tornado (Fireflies?)  started behind us; but as soon
as they reached the eastern Gap and caught the northerly wind they were
gone!! The effect was similar to formula 1 cars racing in the rain.
As the 24 ft trimarans accelerated they threw up a lot of spray and
whoosh they were skimming at better than 20 knots while we were still
slogging along at only 12 - 15 Kn.. ( bummer!)
They had rounded the mark out by Gibraltar point and were half way back
before we got to the half way mark.  Wanted one ever since!

My other interest is multi-hulls stems from my electrical design
expertise in light weight power systems and reduced boat wiring
techniques based on 25 years experience in industrial applications..
I have developed such a design but displacement boat owners simply can't
see the need for going that route. Even when it means reduced material
costs.
I was aboard Dennis Raedeke's gorgeous WILDWIND IV and that hooked me on
power cats.
Am currently living near Vancouver BC and working as a marine electrical
designer consultant.

So I'm just lurking to see what is developing in power cat designs.

Welcome to Power Catamaran List, Arild!

I know of your expertise in things electrical from the trawler world,
so I hope you'll do more than lurk when appropriate.
