Posting for Pew Research: Members of this list are invited to participate in a special project to gather input on the challenges and opportunities for the future of humanity and the Internet. The study is being conducted by two non-profits: Pew Research Center's Internet Project and Elon University's Imagining the Internet Center. We are collecting experts' input on the most likely evolution of technology and people's uses of it by the year 2025. Experts such as Semantic Web scientist James Hendler, Internet protocol co-inventor Vint Cerf, futurist David Brin, Esther Dyson, danah boyd and Jeff Jarvis are among those who are participating. Taking credit lends credibility to the results and contributes to a more vibrant public conversation.
