CCWC Members and Friends,

Please join us for the next Chambers-Clover Watershed Council meeting on Wednesday, July 8th, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.  We'll meet in our usual location in the 3rd floor Executive Conference Room at Lakewood City Hall, at 6000 Main Street SW in Lakewood.

This month's meeting will give us a chance to talk a bit about some of the data that is being collected and reported in our watershed.  (A great follow-up to last month's field trip!)  Andrew Kolosseus, an environmental specialist with the Washington Department of Ecology, will be giving an update on the South Puget Sound Dissolved Oxygen Study.  This study has been in progress for several years and examines how human and natural sources of nitrogen impact the health of the South Sound marine ecosystem.  Check out the study's webpage at: http://www.ecy.wa.gov/puget_sound/dissolved_oxygen_study.html.

Dan Wrye, Water Quality and Watersheds section manager at Pierce County Surface Water Management, will also talk about how SWM plans to share information on the health of Pierce County's streams.  Please look over the draft report card (attached) and bring your comments and questions for discussion.

And as always, we'll have ample chocolate and lots of time for great information sharing.  Notes from the last meeting will be available on the 8th.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  Have a great 4th of July weekend and I'll look forward to seeing you all next week!
