Market Viable Question - Water Treatment System that Softens, Conditioning, Filters without Maintenance or Salt

I came across a European residential water treatment system that
softens, conditioning, and filters water without maintenance or salt
use or "hocus pocus" magnets or electrical field scams. Bottom line,
it works great in my home, so I asked the company to build a marine &
motor coach application version for me. Its not yet for sale, there
is no current place to buy, and I dont have a price, but I'm curious
as to the market need for this idea. Any suggestions or comments are
welcome.

I see it for those interested in improving their on board or dock side
potable water via an entire vessel filter and water softener system.
Without the use of salt or electrical power.
Removes chlorine and other contaminants thus improving the drinking,
cleaning, and bathing water... preserving health.
Extends efficiency of water heater elements, ice maker...
Spot free surfaces no water hardness scale on the glass, chrome,
stainless steel, decks or gel coat surf...
Very cost effective system that is appropriately sized for smaller
spaces on vessels or coaches.
Option of switching the system for pre or post of water tanks or hose
inline.
Whole boat water water filtering without the need to replace
expensive point of use filter cartridges.

Please provide any insight or if interested.

One guy just stated to me " hard to believe."
Here was my reply.

Well, its actually believable once you hear about the components of
the system working together. Super size carbon removes chlorine
(nothing amazing yet), a catalytic process deals with converting
dissolved minerals into crystalline form that does not bond to
surfaces (now its getting interesting), and a micro dosing injector
(like an iv pump) that adds a tiny amount of an non-toxic simple amino
acid to the water for surface sheeting effect and velvety feeling vs.
slippery "cant get the soap off" feel. (pretty cool!)

Residential cost was less than most salt softeners with no hassle of
hauling for it has few moving parts and the residential tank media is
not serviced for 5 to 10 years. We will not know the life of a marine
or RV version due to the reduced form factor but it is approximated at
one year + depending upon volume of water used.  Cost to replenish
annually is estimated not to exceed $ 100.

What else?

Regards, Martin

FWIW

There is already one on the market.
See http://www.norsupco.com/eliminator.html
I have no affiliation with the company but have used many of the items they
sell.
