Sunday, 1/3, 8:00am-9:00am: As introduced at last night's members meeting, we will begin conducting 60 minute group "no drop" running workouts at the Y at this time on Sunday mornings. Depending on the turnout we will either disband the workouts or continue them into February and beyond. The coach leading the workouts will rotate with Maribeth leading the first session.
A few other notes...Intro to Tri, Saturdays, 7:00am-8:00am: As announced at last night's members meeting, the "Intro to Tri" class will return in January (probably 1/9) and will run in conjunction with the Y's sessions. The class will run for 7 weeks (and then restart) and will include 2 weeks of swimming followed by 2 weeks of spinning followed by 2 weeks of running and then end with a mini-tri the final week. The class is free and is open to all Y members (i.e. you do not have to be a Tri Club member). This is a great way for new triathletes to be introduced to the sport or for experienced triathletes (like most of us) to get some refreshers. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Maribeth or Danny.Gator Fitness Challenge IV: The current GFC ends on Sunday, 1/3. GFC IV will start on Monday, 1/4 and run through Sunday, 4/3. An announcement about the details and request for sign-ups will be sent out via Facebook soon, so watch for it and be sure to sign up! Note: In case there is confusion, "IV" in this case is the Roman numeral 4; it is not implying that you will need an IV to complete the weekly challenge.Training Plan Development and Training Peaks Seminar, Wednesday, 1/6, 7:00pm-8:15pm, Corporate Conference Room: Danny will be hosting the first of our series of 2016 Gators Seminars. This is a great opportunity to get yourself off to a fast start in organizing your thoughts around your training plan and also learn how to take better advantage of one of your club member benefits, your Training Peaks account.
Go Gators!
