Fellow Boaters,

Many of you are familiar with the marinas located just below Lock 12 on the
Champlain Canal in Whitehall NY.

My friend Bill Brina and his partner bought out both marinas as well as the
Finch & Chubb Restaurant, a few years ago.  The marina on the east side was
closed, and most of the docks removed and the Whitehall Marina on the west
side has remained in operation.  It's a really nice looking place, most all
of it is brand new including the buildings.  The Finch & Chubb Restaurant
on the east side is well-known in the area and provides excellent food and
a terrific view of the water.  My old friend LeAnn Ingalls was hired to
manage it, and it became even better than before, operating as a "dock &
dine" establishment, or they'll come pick you up for dinner at the Marina.

Alas, Bill and his partner's plans did not work out exactly as they'd
hoped.  The partner died shortly after the purchase, and Bill is in poor
health and is not able to continue.

The Finch & Chubb Restaurant on the east side will be transferred to LeAnn
and will continue to be operated by her, along with her fiancee Sal.

The property on the west bank including the Whitehall Marina and the RV
park will be auctioned on May 13th.  Here's a link with all the details:

The Whitehall Marina on the west bank and the Finch & Chubb Restaurant on
the east bank are expected to continue in operation without interruption.
Both great places, and a good place to stop for traveling boaters.
