Well things are getting better on Lake Superior . . . but. Ships now have no hindrance whatsoever. However, there is still residual ice near Duluth, MN which the winds blows around. It is greatly reduced, but still there. I just talked to the Apostle Island National Lakeshore/Park, our favorite cruising area. The official there said that there are still  considerable ice floes and ice bergs in and around the islands. Small craft are navigating, but having to dodge ice. I was told one fishing tug got stuck in the ice yesterday. Sooo. Hopefully, in June sometime the lake will be ice free. Old timers comment they have never seen ice this late in the year.
