Richard,

It’s generally considered that Bob at American Diesel (https://americandieselcorp.com) is the authority on anything Perkins/Lehman/Sabre, and in his “New Owners Sheet” he says:

"After 2000 hours, or cruising to remote areas, you should carry a new pump on board. The original Jabsco pump is extremely expensive to rebuild, when a new shaft and bearings are needed. Replacements usually cost far less.”

He lists the part number as either 822-0148 or 822-0149, so call him (804-435-3107) to find out which is correct for your engine. The price listed is $530.

Not great news on the price, but solid info.
