10/5. New Haven, Lighthouse Point Park - twenty-five people enjoyed a beautiful autumn morning on the New Haven Bird Club's "First Wednesday" Walk. We tallied 58 species of birds, highlighted by 10 species of diurnal raptors (including 2 BALD EAGLES and an adult PEREGRINE FALCON eating a small bird in stationary flight right overhead), 3 late COMMON TERNS, and an estimated 1000 Tree Swallows in flight low overhead for an hour.
