Helen S. Smith Gallery partnered with The Cave Gallery in Vancouver, WA to continue an exhibition they began during the spring of 2020. Their exhibition asked the community to respond creatively to the quarantine at the beginning of the pandemic. During winter term, Helen S. Smith Gallery featured the work virtually from the Cave's show as a prompt for our own community to respond.
Art of the Quarantine, Part 2https://www.greenriver.edu/community/art-gallery/ takes the conversation further as the global pandemic forges on. This virtual exhibition is a way for the gallery to support artists, build community and dive into a bigger academic conversation about the role of art in our lives.
