Trying to get to "the choice" in buying a catamaran.

Here are our criteria

I am 6'4" so need height in all living areas and enough room in heads
It is for my wife and I in retirement and an occasional second couple
want  dual controls, like Pilothouse concept in design
as much as possible want to go through inland bay chop not over it,
willing to give up speed for stability
will likely purchase a seasoned cat versus a brand new - reasoning
systems have been worked out
Cruising area is the San Juans
Wife likes her creature comforts so no spartan boats
Usage will be weekends, extended 2-4 week periods, live aboard if all
goes well a possibility in future
options for us include rentals if our usage does not escalate, shared
ownership concept is not appealing
size - 40-45 likely ?????? could be smaller if needs are meet

Looking for suggestions to eliminate to many choices in the market,
want to zero in on 1 or 2 cat models to focus on

Thanks to all that respond
