Ed, you got me reflecting on our experiences with seasickness, well sort of. Neither Jill nor I have been seasick, but we've been tossed around often enough and severly enough that heading out into rough seas does affect our heads.
We find that heading off-shore is a big psychological thing for us.One thing that we do, when planning to head off-shore in anything other than mild seas, is that, if given a choice, we spend a few days prepping our heads. That helps, but we still do not lilke being rolled around, though we still subject ourselves to it if we must. Good luck and don't let those stomach roll bother you too much..

Thanks Rudy, you are right. According
to Gerr's rule of thumb the best roll
period is the beam in meters as seconds from full over one
side to the
other and back. My boat being 15 feet beam would have an
optimum roll
period of 4.6 seconds. I estimate the roll period last week
was around 2.5
to 3 seconds.
