A friend is writing an article about crows in winter. Besides the famous roosts in Hartford and Waterbury, does anyone know of other roosts in the state?

Thank you

I believe there is one in Norwich. I think by the DMV but I really cannot
remember exactly where.

Hi Craig, usually there is a Norwich crow roost numbering in the thousands.  Two years ago, Nick Bonomo estimated the number at 5000.  This year, during the first ever Norwich Christmas Bird Count,  I found about 500 near Stop and Shop on Town Street.  We did not locate the huge roost that is usually somewhere nearby.  I do block work , 72 C, in Norwich and am looking for major roost.  Will let you know if I find in.  Also, significant numbers of Fish Crows in the 500 I reported.
